As part of “Gropius' Kulturinseln”, the art trail on Wildmeisterdamm on Sunday, September 6, 2026, to rediscover the path between Lipschitzallee and Fritz-Erler-Allee through five site-specific artistic stations.

The path runs right through Gropiusstadt and connects different neighborhoods with the adjacent landscape and bird sanctuary. Today, at Wildmeisterdamm, the heights of Gropiusstadt meet the air currents of the vast landscape. Gropiusstadt was planned with a vision of light, air, and sun. Between the city’s tallest residential building and the centuries-old Vogelwäldchen, animals and tiny particles move, birdsong and echoes fill the air, and gases circulate.

The artists Elisa Duca, Katrin Glanz and Blasorchester 1911 Berlin e.V., Alexandra R. Toland, Raul Walch, Katja Marie Voigt, and Elisa Dierson explore the path and its history in various ways. What does the air carry? What spaces does it open up and connect?

Visitors can stroll, roll, hop, or run along the course through the traffic-calmed path; on this day, they can let themselves be guided by a long trail of coffee aroma, immerse themselves in clouds of sound, and discover works of art and course exercises in the nooks and crannies along the way.

The art trail takes place on Wildmeisterdamm between Lipschitzallee and Fritz-Erler-Allee: You can find the location on Google Maps here. The trail is accessible via the Lipschitzallee or Wutzkyallee (U7) subway stations.

Accessibility note: The path is paved; some artworks are located on grassy areas.
