Twenty eight-pointed bronze stars with a gold-colored patina are embedded in the ground at the Rütli Campus—inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They honor real and fictional figures, groups, and institutions that have made a lasting contribution to the community.
Artist Jörg Lange designed the first five stars on his own. For the remaining 15 stars, suggestions were collected from the campus community—from children, teenagers, residents, and staff. A jury composed mostly of young people made the selection. The design process was then collaborative: in art classes at the community school, students worked together with Jörg Lange on the designs. Between 2020 and 2024, the stars were installed in four phases.
The honorees include Manal Al-Sharif, Anton Wilhelm Amo, Julien Bam, Georges de Mestral, George Floyd, Janusz Korczak, Laika, Astrid Lindgren, Nelson Mandela, Manege, Maryam Mirzakhani, Mkomanile, Naruto, Zeina Nassar, Franco Cosimo Panini, Rosa Parks, The Rütli Group, Greta Thunberg, Malala Yousafzai and Tu Youyou.
