  Audio Walks Through the Rudow Women´s Quarter

  The project “More Than Names—Creating Spaces for Women” in the Rudow Women’s Quarter invites participants to rediscover the neighborhood from a woman’s perspective through a performative audio walk. Developed by Mareike Wenzel and Anna Krenz, the project reexamines historical female figures and creates new narratives rooted in solidarity.

  The foyer of Kulturstall at Britz Palace hosted an exhibition showcasing art-in-architecture projects from educational institutions in Neukölln. The exhibition featured award-winning designs, including “Schnörkel” by Christin Kaiser and “Vulkangarten” by Valeska Peschke.

  Festival as part of DRAUSSENSTADT featuring visual arts, theater, and music in public spaces

  Discover what lies beneath! – Art in Public in Neukölln

  From October 1 to 3, the festival “Discover what lies beneath!” presents nine diverse art projects at various locations in Neukölln—outdoors instead of online. The works explore the social changes brought about by the pandemic, forgotten history, and hidden emotions. The program ranges from Turkish shadow theater to sound installations at the historic Columbiadamm Cemetery and participatory performances. Artists reveal not only personal and collective fears but also critical issues such as colonial history, homelessness, and loss of identity. As part of DRAUSSENSTADT, the festival brings art and culture to life directly in the urban space and invites active participation.
