Eight laser-cut stainless steel mirrors span three floors in the main stairwell of Campus Efeuweg, a public school with a focus on STEM, forming experimental periscopes.
The mirrors direct the gaze in various directions: from the second floor to the first and back, outside toward the trees, or as an opportunity for a selfie. The specific arrangements and shapes create twisted, distorted, and unexpected perspectives.
As a visual instrument, POLYSKOP invites visitors to playfully explore the laws of mathematics, geometry, and physics. The installation thus reflects the processes of the learning environment itself—a place where perspectives are expanded and shifted.
